Today my friend and I drove to a different 24 Hour Fitness, where I told them that I had recently moved into the Seattle area, and gave the old address of a friend’s house. The morality of such a move is dubious, but I simply felt that my need to maintain a consistent schedule outweighed my qualms about providing fallacious information.

At any rate, none of the bikes had foot straps on them, and I wasn’t about to get on the treadmills with my knees feeling the way that they do. So, I settled for the elliptical, which provided an admittedly low-impact workout. I slugged that thing through 40 minutes, at about 75 strokes per minute, and a heart rate of about 150 bpm.

I’ve got to admit that I’m missing the weight lifting a little bit, so I hit the weights briefly afterwards, and was rewarded with moderate soreness the following day.
